Alton L. “Dine” Frase, 88, of Wadsworth passed away Wednesday September 5, 2012. He was born on June 5, 1924 in Wadsworth to the late Earl L. and Minnie Frase. Mr. Frase was a graduate of Wadsworth High School class of 1942. He was World War II Army Veteran having served in the 95th Infantry Division and was later retired from The Ruhlin Co.
Dine was a member of Wadsworth VFW Post # 1089, having held every position except commander, Wadsworth American Legion Post # 170 being a life member of both posts. Dine was an active member of the Wadsworth Honor Guard and a volunteer at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. He was preceded in death by three brothers Wilbur E., Leonard C., and Boyd E. Frase and his sister Iva L. Frase. Dine is survived by his wife Donna with whom he would have celebrated 66 years of marriage on September 21, 2012 three sons and daughters-in-law: Thomas and Melanie Frase, Richard and Patricia Frase of Wadsworth and Fredrick Frase of VA. There are 7 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law: Willard M. and Stella Frase of Wadsworth, Lester G. and Grace Christy of Canton and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5-8PM Monday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday. Interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 2:30 PM with Military Honors conducted by the Wadsworth Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the hospice of the donor’s choice.
