Obituary
Merle R. Frase, 86, of Wadsworth passed away Friday, February 12, 2010. He was born March 3, 1923 in Rittman to the late Carl and Olive Frase.
Mr. Frase was a member of First Christian Church since 1959, was a Sea Bee (Construction Batallion) in the U.S. Navy.
He was retired from Bronze Headquarters in 1998 after 28 years of service and was a former employee of Seville Bronze.
Merle was a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Institute and lived his life with a Positive Mental Attitude in all that he did. In his own words, “I was born to work and loved every job I ever had”.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary in 1996, and brothers Harold, Ralph, Leslie, and Gordon. Merle is survived by Michael Fox, whom Merle and Mary raised as their son and Michael’s wife Sharmini Marshall, brothers Ivan (Julia), Wade (Alice), Marv, Bill, Bob (Anita), in-laws Margie Miller, Robert (Rose) Core, and Linda Straub. Many nieces and nephews, and special friends from Bob Evan’s, Buehler’s, and First Christian Church also survive him.
Friends will be received Monday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday at First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St. Wadsworth with Rev. James Singleton officiating. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
