With sadness we announce the passing of Lee Frederick, 71, of Wadsworth, Ohio. Lee was raised by his parents, Ellis Edward and Julia “Marie” Swinehart Frederick, on the family farm in Norton, Ohio. He graduated from Norton High School in 1971. He started his work career at Goodyear, but worked most of his life at PCA/Boxboard in Rittman until their closing, and then worked at Smith Dairy until his retirement.
Lee loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, taking the boys to Killbuck for camping and four-wheeling every weekend when they were growing up, as well as hunting for mushrooms and arrowheads. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles since 1989 and a member of the NRA. Lee also enjoyed a good book, especially crime novels.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings and their spouses: Mary Ellen Roesel (Dick), Carol M. Foutty, and Robert E. Frederick (Linda Golz), and three nephews: Rick Roesel, Tony Roesel, and Jeff Little.
Surviving him is one brother, Thomas E. Frederick (L. Joan), and his nieces and nephews: Lisa Roesel Owens (Ken), Mark Roesel, Patrick Roesel, Carrie Frederick, Alyson Frederick Seese (Ronald), Mike Foutty, Michelle Foutty Waugh (Frank), Ashley Frederick Brubaker (Dan), and Jacob Frederick (Ruchika), plus numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Lee also leaves behind two young men and their sons who he helped raise and who held a special place in his heart: Bradley Morrison (Bam) and Jason Morrison (Toby).
Cremation has taken place and the family and close friends will gather at a later date for a private celebration of Lee’s life.
