William H. Generke, age 75 of Wadsworth, passed away on Dec. 24, 2021. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on February 5, 1946 to the late William and Lucille (Howard) Generke.

Mr. Generke was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed over the years as a Master Technician in the automotive and trucking industries. William’s hobbies included boating, fishing, skeet shooting, pheasant hunting, drag racing and rebuilding and restoring classic cars. Above all, he will be remembered as always willing to help his family, friends and neighbors in any way he could.

Preceded in death by his grandparents and parents, William is survived by his wife, Leola; son, Scott of Bushnell, Fla.; stepsons, Tim of Westerville, Oh. and Mike of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Alex of Wadsworth and Lindsey and Nicholas of Westerville; sister, Sue of Pueblo, Colo.; and brother, George of Rockford, Ill.

Private services will be held for William’s family with inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
