Obituary
Marianne Gibson-Hall passed away on 06 March 2023. Had she been given the opportunity, she would have liked to have said a personal goodbye to all of the special people in her life.
Born in Detroit MI and graduated from Eastern Michigan University, during her life she lived in Farmington MI, Lynchburg VA, Wadsworth OH and Olean NY.
Marianne is survived by her loving and ever supportive husband Jeffrey Hall, her sister Jane Wright and husband Robert Barnes of WA State, loving relatives and many dear friends, most especially by Zach and Abby Orr who she has loved since their births. Her sweet cat Penny is missing her.
Marianne was preceded in death by her parents George F. and Joyce M. (Pinnick) Lask and her special stepson Ben Hall. Everyone who has known her knows how much she has missed her faithful little dog Bailey and her loving cat Max.
She was a gentle, loving caregiver to her mother, who looked forward to their times together on a lunch date, shopping excursion or just a game of cards. Marianne touched hundreds of lives through her creative teaching, her unselfish, gentle ways in the classroom and as Director of the Latchkey Program in Wadsworth. This is especially reflected by the number of students and families that have maintained their relationships with her, frequently inviting her to school/college graduations and weddings.
She will be remembered as a warm and caring person with a sentimental heart. Her devotion to her “kids” is her legacy. Marianne hopes to live on the hearts of those she touched. Somewhere, she is sitting on a beach listening to Bruce Springsteen and Bob Seger.
Memorial contributions are suggested to either Save Ohio Strays (440-567-3585, saveohiostrays.org) or Joyful Rescues (716-372-3661, joyfulrescues.org).
