John Justin Gnatowski, 25, of Garfield Heights, passed away on January 8, 2018. He was born September 18, 1992 in Wadsworth to John M. and Donna Gnatowski. John (J.J.) earned his Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology Degree from Cuyahoga Community College in 2015. He was employed as Coordinator of Clinical Engineering by MetroHealth in Cleveland. He tremendously enjoyed working with his managers and coworkers in his department and was proud of his role there. J.J. was an accomplished drummer and enjoyed drawing, writing, hiking, and camping with his uncles and cousins. He took great pleasure in discussing current events.

He is survived by his parents, beloved brother Tyler Gnatowski of Wadsworth, cherished grandparents Betty Smith of Wooster and John C. Gnatowski of Richfield; Aunt Janet Thompson of Wooster, Uncles Mark (Annette) Gnatowski of Hilliard, David (Rhonda) Gnatowski of Bath, and Paul (Becky) Gnatowski of Broadview Heights; dear cousins Jason Gasser, Shelby Fiscus, Juliette Lonsert, Paul Gnatowski, Mark Gnatowski, and Matthew Gnatowski; and a lifelong friend, Teagan Pell.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Eleanor Gnatowski and Kenneth Smith, and Aunt Veronica. Family will receive friends Thursday January 18 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, Wadsworth. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1676 S Cleveland Massillon Rd, Copley, OH 44321.
