Wadsworth — Carl R. Godsey, age 89, passed away on January 10, 2022. Born in Bristol, Tenn, he lived in the Wadsworth area most of his life.

Mr. Godsey served his community as a Wadsworth police officer for over 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting.

Preceded in death by his wife and daughter, he is survived by his son, Jeffry R. Godsey; and grandson, Joel Fire.

Burial with military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, on Thursday, January 20th at 2:15 p.m. Those planning to attend are asked to gather by 2 p.m. at the cemetery’s welcome center.
