Bruce R. Gordon, 75, of Norton passed away Friday, February 28, 2020. He was born May 12, 1944 in Wadsworth to the late Joseph H. and Ruth M. Gordon of Seville. Mr. Gordon was a graduate of Cloverleaf High School and The University of Akron. He taught American History at Brunswick Willets Middle School for 35 years and coached middle school Blue Devil Football. Bruce enjoyed spending time with his family especially sons-in-law and grandchildren, he also enjoyed playing computer war games, was a history buff a Jimmy Buffet Fan and loved dogs he also enjoyed fishing, shooting sports, building model airplanes, motorcycles,was an avid reader and a huge OSU fan. He especially loved traveling to North Carolina beaches for family vacations, spending the days beating up the waves, pilgrimages to the Holy Grill and porchifying in the evenings with the sons-in-law and Jimmy Buffet. He was the BEST PAPA ever.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Max Dell and two sisters: Phyllis Gilbert and Mary Louis.
Bruce is survived by his wife Barbara, daughters and sons-in-law: Jennifer (Mike) Dell, Amy (Jason) Klempa, Erin (Aaron) Heinlein and seven grandchildren:
Nate, Coby, Katie, Addy, Sylvia, Ellie and Chase. Bruce’s request was to be cremated and that no services be held and his family is honoring his wish.
