Dr. Donald E. Gordon

Don Gordon passed away peacefully on June 17 surrounded by family.

He was born on November 19, 1931 to the late Morris (Speed) and Virginia Gordon.

A graduate of Roscoe High School, Don attended Western Reserve University and graduated from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1956. A Captain in the US Army, Don served his country in the Korean conflict.

Don established his dental practice in Wadsworth in 1962 and continued caring for patients until his final retirement in 2013. Active in the community, Don served on the Medina County Board of Health and on the board of the Alcohol & Drug Dependency Agency, was an executive officer of the Akron Dental Society, volunteered his dental services for the Akron Community Health Centers, was active with the Wadsworth Area Historical Society and Friends of the Wadsworth Trails, mentored students through the OASIS program, and raised funds for MS with over 20 years of participation in Pedal to the Point. Don enjoyed working outdoors on his property, cycling, painting and carving.

Don is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dolly/Isabelle (Sondles), children; Becky (Doug) Lynes, Don Jr. (Lynne), and David (Laura); granddaughters, Carson and Hayley Lynes , Kendall and Carley Gordon; sisters, Linda McMillen and Beatrice Ann McClure; brother, Ron.
