Helen O. Gray, 91, of Wadsworth, died peacefully on February 21, 2013. She was born November 6, 1921, in Pittsburgh, PA, to John and Natalia Ofchar.
Helen was an active member of the Wadsworth United Methodist Church for over 50 years and she was a participating member of the Order of Eastern Star holding various positions. Many children who attended Valley View Elementary School during the 70’s will remember her from her position in the cafeteria. One of her favorite things to do was watching the Cleveland Indians on television. She always looked forward to baseball season.
Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Cecil in 2002 and sisters Stella, Ann and Catherine, she is survived be daughter Natalie (Gary) Erbse of Rocky Mount, NC; sons Kenneth (Marsha) Gray of Strongsville and Curtis (Heather) Gray of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren Heather, Kelly, Lillian, Ava, Jennifer and David; great-grandchildren Frank, IV and Emily. Helen is also survived by sister Mary of CA and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held Saturday March 2, 2013, 11 AM at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. in Wadsworth, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity or to the Wadsworth United Methodist Church.
