Handshue
Wadsworth, OH

Marilyn Ann Handshue died peacefully at her home on March 5, 2023. She was born on September 19, 1935 to the late Don and Beryl (Nixon) Wingire. After graduating from Wadsworth High School in 1953, she married Mervin Handshue. They enjoyed a 67 year marriage until his death in 2022.
Marilyn was a life long musician. Her musical journey began as a young girl with piano and later saxophone in the school band. Her love of music lead to life-long study of the pipe organ, and she served as a church organist for over 50 years. She enjoyed playing music that reflected the spiritual message of the day, and found inspiration from the many compositions of J.S. Bach. When not playing music, Marilyn could be found reading latest novel and enjoying a good “who done it.”
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Mervin, sister Linda Williams and grandson Matthew. She is survived by sons Dan (Pam) Handshue, David (Carol) Handshue; sisters Marjory (Wendell) Graves, Kathy (Harry) Stauffer, grandson Nathaniel, granddaughter Jessica (Jeff) Watkins, great granddaughter Emma, and many nieces and nephews.
A family graveside service was held at Jerusalem Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations can be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland Ohio 44110
