Ronald (Curly) William Held, 65, of West Salem Ohio, passed away on Monday January 21st, 2019 peacefully at his home, with his beloved Wife by his side, after a month long battle of Cancer.
He was born October 10, 1953 in Wadsworth the son of William E. and Donna J. Held .
He was a veteran who served honorably in Vietnam. He was a family man. The best there was. He enjoyed the outdoors, working on his 62 Nova, hunting, fishing, attending any and all of his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, traveling with his wife to the river in Indiana, and playing the drums as a part of the band Shyster Rock n Roll.
Surviving is his wife Victoria (Stillwagner)Held of West Salem; his son, Nate (Nicki) Held, his daughter Alisha (Tommy) Guidetti of West Salem; his Grandchildren , Carter Clarke, Leo Guidetti and Vinnie Guidetti; his mother Donna Held of Wadsworth; his sister Susan Curtis (Jason, Nikki) of Wadsworth and mother-in-law Geraldine Crabtree of Rittman.
He is preceded in death by his father William E. Held ; his sister Kathy Ann Held.
The family will receive friends 4-7pm Tuesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth where there will be a celebration of life held at 1:00pm Wednesday.
Ron will be laid to rest with his comrades at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery following the Celebration service.
