Patricia Elizabeth Helmbrecht, 81, of Wadsworth, Ohio died peacefully in her sleep at Altercare of Wadsworth, Sunday, October 23, 2016, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Patricia was born in California February 23, 1935 to David and Dora Fowler. She lived in California until that fateful summer when she met the love of her life, Herbert L. Helmbrecht. They were married June 11, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio, he survives. Together they raised their two daughters, Cindy Forcone of Wadsworth, OH and Susan (Joe) Sturdivant of Shreve, OH. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Nicole (Rene’) Olivares, Stephanie (Joe) Perenkovich, Robert Cline, Ashley Forcone, and Samantha Cline. Great-grandchildren Ellee, Carmen, and Bryson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Robert.

Patricia enjoyed cooking, reading, camping, bird watching, and spending time outdoors. She loved spending time with her family and her German Shepherd Heidi. Patricia and Herb loved to travel across the USA, and lived in China and Egypt when Herb was employed at Babcox & Wilcox.

Family will receive friends Saturday, October 29 from 10-11am at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 North Lyman Street, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281, where funeral services will be conducted at 11am. Pastor Bob Combs will be officiating.

Patricia’s family would like to thank the wonderful caring staff of Altercare of Wadsworth for their loving care for the last six years of her life, and the staff and volunteers of Hospice of the Western Reserve of Medina County. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Western Reserve Hospice of Medina, or Altercare of Wadsworth.
