Gladys O. Hill of Gilbert, Arizona passed away on April 9, 2014 at the age of 101. Prior to moving to Arizona 5 ½ years ago; she was a lifelong resident of the Akron, Ohio area. Born in Perry County Ohio on August 5, 1912; she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Robert H. Hill. She is survived by son Thomas Hill and wife Christine of Gold Canyon, Arizona; son David Hill of North Lewisburg, Ohio; daughter-in-law Marcia Leong of Mission Viejo, California; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7-9 pm Wednesday and
9-10am Thursday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 10am Thursday. Officiating will be the Reverend Gerald L. Keller, Pastor Emeritus, of Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Seville, Ohio. Interment immediately following at Green Lawn Cemetery in Akron, Ohio. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Gladys Hill will be held at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church in Scottsdale, Arizona at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in memory of Gladys to Hospice of the Valley, the Lund Family Hospice Home; 1982 E. Woodside Court; Gilbert, AZ 85297. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” Ephesians 2: 8-9.
