James W. Himmelright, 74, of Medina passed away April 10, 2016. He was born in Akron, Ohio and resided in Norton until graduating from The Ohio State University.

James was born to Donald and Evelyn (McWhorter) Himmelright on September 13, 1941. He retired from Nestle Foods after twenty-three years of service. Not ready for retirement, he then took the position of Plant Manager for Dylon Industries, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio for seven years.

He was very active in Freemasonry, serving Wadsworth Lodge #385, F. & A.M. of Ohio, as Worshipful Master and until recently, their Secretary. He was Knight York Cross of Honour, and a Thirty Third Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He is a Past Grand High Priest, R.A.M. of Ohio. He served Wadsworth Chapter #102, O.E.S. as Worthy Patron seven times. He has worked in the Scottish Rite office as Assistant to the Secretary since 2005.

Proceeded in death by his son William Michael Himmelright; he is survived by his loving of 54 years, Julia; daughter Audra (Mike) Norbie; grandson Dylan and granddaughter, Julia.

Friends may pay their respects at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 North Lyman Street, Wadsworth, Ohio, 44281 on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wadsworth Lodge #385 F&AM will conduct Masonic services at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 15th at 10:00 a.m. Internment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
