David Lee Hoover, 79, of New Franklin, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016. He was born May 31, 1937 in Akron to the late William and Eloise Hoover. Mr. Hoover was a member of The Chapel, Green Campus where he served as an usher. He was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, received a Bachelors of Science from the University of Mount Union and served in the Army and then the Air Force Reserves and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Hoover was a former employee of B.F. Goodrich with 43 years of service and more recently was employed by Ruscoe. He enjoyed golfing and bowling and recently bowled a 300 game.

He was preceded in death by his brother Gene Hoover.

David is survived by his wife Trish with whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage, daughters Cheryl (Chuck) Parnell of Rochester, NY, Pam Battista of Barberton, and sons Dale (Tina) Tittle and Kevin (Kelli) Tittle all of Wadsworth. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Brooke and Ashley Tittle, Andrew Angus, Matthew Barkley, Jared, Spenser and Zain Tittle and four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 5-8pm Wednesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 11am Thursday. Interment will be in Hillcrest memorial Gardens.
