Dawn E. Houston (nee Leatherman), 64, of Medina passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 after battling cancer. She was born May 12, 1948 in Wadsworth. Mrs. Houston was a graduate of Wadsworth High School and Miami University of Ohio. She was a retired elementary school teacher from Wadsworth City Schools.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ila Jean Leatherman.
Dawn is survived by her husband Don with whom she celebrated 39 1/2 years of marriage, daughter and son-in-law Ashley (Mike Brouse) Houston of Wadsworth, two grandchildren Kate and Cassie Arnold and their parents Pete and Erin Arnold, her father Don Leatherman of Wadsworth and sister and brother-in-law Pegi (Jim) Garber of Largo, FL and many other family members, friends and her dog Micah.
Dawn loved her family and her family loved her dearly and will miss her greatly.
The family will receive friends 3-7 PM Thursday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. Private graveside services will be held for the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to any local hospice.
