Raymond M. Howard, 58, died May 4, 2018. He was born March 19, 1960 to the late Peggy (Merritt) and Leo Howard in Beckley, WV.

Ray proudly served his country for 20 years, retiring from the Air Force on May 31, 2000. He enjoyed spending time fishing and boating, grilling for all the neighbors, playing poker and building or remodeling everything he could. A proud & loving father, he never missed a soccer match, football game, band concert, or choir performance. Ray’s final act of service helped 80 families receive the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Susan; daughter Shannon Marie (Matthew) Silcox of Akron; son Daniel Raymond (Sierra) Howard of Anchorage, AK; brother Robert Howard; sisters Robin (Bryan) Stewart and Renee Archie and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service will be held Monday May 14, 2018 at 10am at the Wadsworth United Methodist Church, 195 Broad Street in Wadsworth, where the family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall. Private committal service with military honors will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
