David C. Jack, 79, of Wadsworth passed away, Monday, December 30, 2013. He was born January 8, 1934 in Zanesville, OH to the late David C. and Cora Jack.
Mr. Jack was a consummate salesman and retired from sales after a career in which he received many awards. He was loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed nothing more than talking about his family. Dave was a man of great integrity and moral character, an avid sports fan and for many years coached baseball. He was a veracious reader and enjoyed talking about history and politics and leaves a legacy of stories he made up for his family. Dave was never afraid to get involved and joined many service organizations often becoming a member of the executive committee.
He was the former president of the Zanesville Jaycees, former president of the Wadsworth Booster Club and was a former Rotarian, Toastmaster and was a member of Lafayette Lodge #483 F&AM.
His greatest legacy he leaves is the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren and he will live on through them.
Dave was preceded in death by three brothers Carl, John and Harry and one sister Hilda.
He is survived by and was the loving and devoted husband of Eileen with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage, and the loving father of Dr. Michael (Cindy) Jack of Wadsworth, Patricia Havens of Wadsworth, Atty. David Jack of Portage Lakes and Timothy (Beth) Jack of Akron.
To continue his legacy are his 13 grandchildren: Mike, Nick, Tyler, Sarah, Heidi, Michael, Kristin, Jennifer, Amanda, Julie, David, Lauren, Shannon and one great granddaughter Abby.
Private services will be held for the family.
