Obituary
Wadsworth –
James A. Bova, 80, of Wadsworth, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016. He was born August 28, 1935 in Medina to the late Joseph and Beatrice Bova.
Jim was a graduate of Medina High School Class of 1953, served in the United States Marine Corps and worked for the City of Akron. He is retired from NASA, Lewis Research Center and currently worked for Enterprise. Jim was also a former Wadsworth Fireman and EMT, Major and Group Commander of Civil Air Patrol, Wadsworth Airmen and Chairman of Wadsworth Balloon and Fly Days. He was a member of AMA, WERA, SCCA, and AHRMA. Jim was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast and avid dog lover. He enjoyed racing motorcycles, boats and automobiles.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ina.
Jim is survived by his companion Candace Morley, his son and daughter-in-law John and Robin Bova of Wadsworth, daughter and son-in-law Ashley and Adam Huprich of Akron. He is also survived by children he helped raise, Sean Morley and Meghan (Rob) Swank. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Johnny Bova II, John Jonas, Dominic Grossi, Kaleigh and Kieran Morley, and Reilly and Teagan Swank.
The family will receive friends 5-8pm Thursday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth.
Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
