Katherine (Kay) Ann Dishauzi (Grubic)
Kay, 89, was quietly called home to Heaven on Thursday, July 14, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She was born October 9, 1927 in Weirton, W.Va. to Anna and Mike Grubic. At age 18, she won the title of Miss Pittsburgh but then won the heart of her loving husband, Steve. They were married September 4, 1948, and went everywhere together for almost 69 years.

She enjoyed traveling, dancing, and the beach. She celebrated life with her smile and wanting everyone to be happy. Mom’s devotion to dad, her family, and Mother Mary gives tribute to her strong faith and inspiration to all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Milan (Rosemary); sisters, Dorothy (Andrew), Mary (Andrew); and her beloved son, Matthew.

Mom will be sadly missed by Dad, Steve (Debbie), Kathy (John), and Marquita. Grandma leaves loving memories with her 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

We want to thank all the wonderful, caring people at Liberty II, Coal Ridge, and Western Reserve Hospice.

Friends may call Wednesday, July 19, from 5-8pm at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, Wadsworth, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church Thursday, July 20, at 11am with burial to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Western Reserve Hospice, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110, or Alzheimer’s Association, 255 N. Michigan Ave, FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
