Obituary
May 4, 1944 – January 6, 2015
Aden Kaufman, 70, of Medina, Ohio, passed away on January 6, 2015 while in the comforting care of Hospice of Medina County. Born in Berlin, Ohio to Vernon and Alma Kaufman, he committed a large part of his life as owner and operator of Great Eastern Gun Club in Holmes County.
Aden’s passion was the sport of trapshooting. Achieving State Team and All-American status, his fondest moment was highlighted by induction into the Ohio State Trapshooters Hall of Fame in 2012. When away from the range, Aden enjoyed fishing, old muscle cars, following the stock market, and coffee each morning with “the guys”.
He leaves his beloved wife Sue of 38 years; son Britt Kaufman and wife Katie of Aurora; son Kurt Kaufman and wife Ashley of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren Abby, Aubrey, Ally and Brady; sister Minerva and husband Vernon of Walnut Creek; brother Dale and wife Vicki of Benton; mother-in-law Jacqueline Krabill of Hudson. He was preceded in death by father and mother Vernon and Alma Kaufman, and brother Nelson Kaufman.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8th from 5-8pm, and Friday, January 9th from 1-2pm at Northside Christian Church, 7615 Ridge Road, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281. A memorial service will follow Friday at 2pm with Pastor Robin L. Hart officiating
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Medina County or The Ohio State Trapshooting Hall of Fame in memory of Aden Kaufman.
