Vonda Kennedy, 86, of Wadsworth passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012. She was born February 21, 1926 in Franklin Township, OH to the late Clyde and Marie Porter.

Life is short. They say it takes a minute to find a special person and an hour to appreciate them. A day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.

She will be forever treasured in our thoughts and hearts, starting with our father who she loved first and always, then the five daughters she raised with so much love and the grandchildren she spoiled so dearly with love.

Preceded in death by her siblings; Clyde Arthur Porter, Ralph (Edna) Porter, Robert Porter and David Porter.

Vonda is survived by her husband James Kennedy; children, Gloria Kennedy of Cincinatti, OH, Brenda Cooper of Hopedale, OH, Linda (Scott) Forgeron of Long Beach, CA, Cindi (Jeff) Romanoff of Wadsworth, OH and Laura (Rod) Lawrence of Stow, OH; grandchildren, Leslie (Dave) Davis, Justin Ruthen, Katrina Romanoff, Natasha Romanoff and Jessica Lawrence; and great-grandchild Alexis Davis; siblings, Faythe Timms, Juanita Kraft, Charlene (Rich) Lautzenhiser, Jim Steele, Jack Steele, Richard (Vickie) Steele and Jerry McCoy.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 18 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 19 at 11:30 AM with Deacon Roger Klaas officiating. Interment will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd. Rittman, OH.
