John C. Kephart (W8KOQ), age 84, of Sharon Twp. Passed away Wednesday June 20, 2012. He was born on April 7, 1928 in Clearfield, PA to the late Robert and Mary Kephart. Mr. Kephart was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was licensed a amateur radio operator (W8KOQ) and loved to tinker his shop. John was an electrician retiring from Barberton Citizens Hospital. He was a jack of all trades (and master of most) and was always there to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. He comes from a family of 12 and is survived by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

John is survived by his wife Marcella (nee Swigart) with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage, three daughters and sons-in-law Suzanne & Joseph Fulcher, Johanna & Frank Taylor, Kathy & Jeff Weinberg and one son and daughter-in-law Jack & Julie Kephart. There are five grandchildren and one great grandchild also surviving.
The family will receive friends 3-5 PM Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 6462 Ridge Rd., Sharon Center where funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday with Pastor Judy McGuire officiating.
