Kimberly A. Reed, 59, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2017, with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Cherished mother, sister, aunt and friend, Kim was known for her consummate kindness, indomitable optimism, and deep love of life, family and friends. A native of Cuyahoga Falls, she was fiercely independent, resilient and hard working, and approached life with faith, humor and a passion for serving others. A medical assistant at Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics for 20 years, “Miss Kim” was beloved by generations of Wadsworth children. She had a special knack for connecting with those most in need, and the love of the children and co-workers gave her joy and fulfillment. She was a great cook and welcomed all into her loving home as one big happy family. Kim always found time to volunteer for the Polar Bear jump, Hospice, Foodbank and countless others. Just two weeks ago, she proudly walked two miles for Alzheimer’s. Kim embodied kindness, courage, strength and hope and was a gift to her loving family, friends and the world.

Preceded in death by her parents Bill and Joan Reed and sister Pam Loewen, she is survived by beloved sons Matthew and Michael Rohrbach, sister Patricia (Terry) Huth and brothers Bill (Dawn) Reed and Tom (Charlene) Reed; brother-in-law Dennis Loewen; nieces and nephews Shannon, Cameron and Carston Marshall; Erin (Scott), Regan and Reece Simpson; Katie and Megan Reed; Bryan, Alex (Miranda), Allyse, Alden and Emerson Reed; Kris (Bryan) Sommerland, Jake and Alex Glazer; Adam (Molly), Charlie and Hanna Loewen; Mark (Cassie) and Sydney Loewen; Emily (Danny), Ela, Maisy and Lillian McClanahan; Joanna (Jesse), Samuel and Nora Struble; and Jenny Loewen; and a host of special friends including Lindsay Thomas, Lindsay Kelley and Jake Poloha.

Kim leaves her extended family and friends too soon, but with a lifetime of loving memories and joyful hearts.

Family will receive friends Sunday, Oct. 22 from 3-7pm at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. Memorial Mass will be held Monday Oct. 23 at 11am at Prince of Peace Parish, 1263 Shannon Ave., Barberton, with Father Robert Jackson, Celebrant.
