Ralph V. Kinnard, 91 of Wadsworth passed away Sept. 27, 2014. Born March 19, 1923 in Wallins Creek Ky. to the late Harvey and Lillie Kinnard.

Ralph and Al Smith were cofounders of what is now called the Wadsworth Youth Football League, that was started in 1962. Ralph was honored in August of this year, at the league’s annual fundraiser banquet when they announced that the new field house was being named in Ralph’s honor.

Ralph proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII.

Preceded in death by his wife, Oda “DeeDee” Kinnard.

He is survived by his children Leona Jean Taylor, Donna Ross, Ernie R. (Jorie) Kinnard, Kelvin M. (Carol) Kinnard; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Thursday at the Hilliard- Rospert Funeral Home, 174 North Lyman St. Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11 am.

Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Wadsworth Youth football program.
