Haig Charles Kolligian, 87, of Wadsworth, formerly of Bethany, CT, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012. He was born on January 7, 1925 in New haven, CT to the late Mark and Sarah Kolligian.

Mr. Kolligian was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps 129th Airborne Engineers Glider Troop, serving from 1943-1946. In 1951 he graduated with a degree in Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Haig Retired from Kevin Roach, John Dinkeloo and Associates in New Haven, CT. After retiring he and his wife Reta relocated to Wadsworth to be near there sons and grandchildren.
Haig became active in the Wadsworth Kiwanis Club and served as the club’s president from 1992-1993, he was also a member of the Wadsworth Community Chorus and enjoyed bowling and golfing. Mr. Kolligian was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years who passed away on October 16, 2004 and two brothers Diran Mark Kolligian and George Elliot Kolligian.
He is survived by his sons; Michael of Wadsworth and Dean (Lois) of Cincinnati, OH. There are five grandsons Dean Jr. (Erinn), Scott (Jamie), Brian (Lisa), Daniel and Derek along with four great grandchildren Madyson, Payton, Catherine and Karsen.
A memorial service will be conducted 1:00 PM, Monday January 30, 2012 at Emanuel United Church of Christ, 16 Eastern Rd., Doylestown, OH with Pastor Jeffrey Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 12:00 Noon – 1:00PM.
Inurnment with military honors will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel United Church of Christ or to the Wadsworth Kiwanis Club.
