Darlene Kovack, “79”, danced into heaven on February 6, 2018. Born in Kettering to the late Ralph and Ethel (Johns) Glass, she was a trailblazer among women realtors. One of the first female realtors in the State of Pennsylvania, Darlene was also among the early female brokers in Ohio as well as running one of the first female owned real estate offices in the state. She served as president of the Medina County Board of Realtors as well as the Women’s Council of Realtors and also held numerous state offices.
Darlene loved dancing, casinos and traveling the world and she partook in all those activities right up until the time of her death.
Darlene was preceded in death by her sister Beverly, her brother David and her grandson Logan. She is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 61 years, Gene, her children Mark (Alissa), Michele Boyd (Craig), Mike and Steve as well as grandchildren Lauren, Madison and Michael and her loyal cat Charlie.
Calling hours will take place Friday, February 9 at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., in Wadsworth from 1-3pm and 6-8pm and Father Bob Jackson will hold a funeral mass at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Dr., Barberton at 11 am on Saturday, February 10.
