Dale Kratzer, 83, of Ashland, Ohio passed away June 21, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Seville, OH to the Albert and Laura Kratzer on February 14, 1930. He was the youngest of 14 children. He was a farmer for many years and then a Master Carpenter by trade. His hobbies included wood crafts, fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his first wife Joan, son Robert and step son Chuck Simmons. He is survived by his wife Mona of 34 years, sons Jim (Ana), John (Pam), daughters Marcia (Clyde) Swain, Jenny (Dave) Knopf, step-daughters Linda(Jerry) Joyner, Debbie (Ed) Novak, Brenda (Mark) Kovacik and step-daughter-in-law Terry Simmons. He leaves behind 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Ashland, Ohio. Cremation will take place. A private memorial service will be planned at a later date.
