On Tuesday, October 3rd, John Bernard Lawrence (87) of Wadsworth passed away peacefully and was reunited with his wife of 60 years, Grace (Rossman) and his daughter, Amy (Butti) who preceded him in death. He was a kind, humble, devout Catholic who cherished all his family and friends. John was a longtime resident of Wadsworth where he and his wife were an active member of Sacred Heart Parish. John was a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his daughters Jane (Tim) Steffensen of Wadsworth, OH; Audrey (Paul) Ansell of Charleston, SC; and Greta (Kevin) West of Ashburn, VA. John has 8 grandchildren [Daniel (Elizabeth), Jeremy (Susan), Betsy (Brian Kuhn) Butti; Victoria, Juila Ansell; Alexander (Rachel), Abigail, and Anna West] and 3 great grandchildren [Fayth Butti, Thalia and Thomas Kuhn].
A celebration of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 260 Broad Street, Wadsworth. A breakfast will be served in the Sacred Heart Church Hall immediately following internment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
