Fern L. Leatherman, 95, of Wadsworth passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012. She was born in Medina on September 22, 1917 to the late James and Elsie Rickert and was one of eleven children. Fern remained a life long resident of Medina Co. She loved life and cherished time with her family. She also enjoyed crocheting and was an avid card player. Fern was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Warren C. Leatherman and granddaughter Barbara Verrell. Fern is survived by her children; Pat (Ray) Andre, Doris (Homer) Lee, Charles (Gale) Leatherman, grandchildren; Terry (Julie) Andre, Scott (Mary) Andre, Richard (Alyssa) Leatherman, Mark (Tricia) Leatherman and Dawn (Keith) McCann, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, sister Eleanor Gordon, brother Merle Rickert and sister-in-law Bessie Gish. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 14 from 5 to 8 PM at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Monday, October15 with Reverend Nancy Dunn officiating at the First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to First Christian Church. Fern says not goodbye, I will see you later.
