Loren W. Lee, 77, of Wadsworth, after celebrating Easter with his family, was called home by the Angels and left this world surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday April 27, 2011. Loren was born August 1, 1933 in Akron to the late William S. and Anna E. Lee. Mr. Lee was a member of Mt. Zwingli United Church of Christ, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of Teamster’s Local #407. Loren was a quiet man of strong faith and enjoyed the outdoors, working with his hands and his family – especially his grandchildren whom he dearly loved.
He was preceded in death by one brother Jimmy and one sister Maureen.
Loren is survived by his wife Lois with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage, three children; Greg (Susan) Lee of Wadsworth, Stacy Jones of Doylestown and Barb (Rob) Leatherman of Wadsworth and four grandchildren; Jesse (Roni) Leatherman, Stephanie Gowin, Joshua and Jordan Lee. Loren is also survived by his siblings Francis (Paul) Beichler, Joe (Bonnie) Lee, Becky (Larry) Kratzer, Serge (Pat) Lee, Bertha (Ken) Frost, Jon (Char) Lee and Anna Belle (Dave) Krejci along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 2-6PM Sunday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth and from 10-11AM on Monday at Mt. Zwingli United Church of Christ, 2172 S. Medina Line Rd., Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM with Pastor Keith D. Hejnal officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zwingli Cemetery.
