Raymond Fredrick Lee, 78, of River Styx passed away Thursday, January, 14, 2020. He was born July 4th, 1942 in Akron to the late Fred and Catherine Lee.
Ray was passionate in all things – his family foremost. He was an avid gun enthusiast, farmer, bee-keeper, woodworker, popcorn connoisseur, DIYer, traveler, gardener, card player and spoiler of grandkids.
Ray was a high school and university science teacher. He was a member of Sacred Hearth Parish for over 50 years.

Ray was preceded in death by Granddaughter, Joann Lee, and dear friend, James Teeter.
Ray was a devoted husband to Rita (nee Laubacher) for 55 years and the proud parent of David (Vicki) Lee, Lisa (Brian) Lee-Briggs, Kathy Lee (Jeff) Kirschman, and Paul (Becky) Lee. Ray was the doting grandfather of Samantha, Jessie, Nate, Andrea, Jack, and Maryann. Ray was a dear brother to his sisters Diana (Bill) Baum and Susan (Garth) Steffensen and especially close to his brother-in-law, John Laubacher. Ray was a loved brother-in-law, cousin and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Ray was a friend to many through his schooling, work, farming, and community.
Funeral services will be conducted 1pm Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth where the family will receive friends from 10:30am until the time of the service.
Burial will be in River Styx Cemetery.
Facial coverings and social distancing will be observed.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Ray’s name to Akron Children’s Hospital.
