Ralph E. Lengacher, 88, of Doylestown, Ohio, passed away on May 16, 2024. He was born August 28, 1935, in Sardis, Ohio to the late Raymond F. and Mary E. Lengacher. Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and while serving survived a crash landing in a transport plane after which he vowed never to fly again.

After leaving the Air Force, he became a long-distance truck driver with Dubuque Packing and ending locally with Quality Wash. He ended his career with a small snow plowing and landscaping business on his beloved Ventrac Tractor.

He was a member of the Wadsworth Lions, Wadsworth Eagles, Wadsworth American Legion Post #170, and Barberton Moose. Ralph loved riding his motorcyle, bowling, golfing, playing checkers, and spending his mornings at Alexandris Restaurant at “his” table drinking coffee, talking with “the guys,” and “teasing the girls.”

He was preceded in death by his long-time companion, Marge LaRoche. Ralph is survived by his loving daughter (who was “not the boss of him”) Lisa Lengacher Sexton (Rodger Ruff); Kenny Jett, the son he always wanted; granddaughter Carlie Betts (Mike Conner); Marge’s daughter, Renee Skoglund (Rod), and their children Olivia, Lucas, and Claudia; several cousins, and many friends.

To celebrate Ralph’s life, visitation will be on Thursday June 13, 2024, at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, starting at 5:30 p.m. Lisa is asking you to stay and share a memory you have with Ralph for all to enjoy which will begin around 6:15 pm.

Military Honors will be conducted at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Please meet at the Cemetery Information Center at 9:00am.
