Mary Ellen (Dressler) Long, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday February 7, 2017.

She was born on August 15, 1930 to the late David and Kathryn Dressler. Mary
Ellen married the Love of her life on June 12, 1948 and they spent 68 wonderful years together.

She is a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her faith was a very important part of her life.

Mary Ellen was a crossing guard at Isham Elementary School from 1976 until she retired in 1994.

Being with all the children brought great joy to her life.

She always loved the outdoors, watching and feeding the birds and she enjoyed ice cream.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her husband James Long, and son-in-law Dan Berlin.

She is survived by her nine wonderful childrenVickie Conley, Marilyn Long, Christine Berlin, Julie (Terry) Carr, Darla (Ken) Fletcher, Jill (Alex) Niemocienski, James (Vicki) Long, Steve Long and Angie Long; 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She lived a very busy life, and her greatest passion was her family. She will be missed and remembered by all who loved her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00AM Friday, February 10, 2017 at Scared Heart Catholic Church, 272 Broad Street, Wadsworth, Ohio.
