Frances L. “Pitzy” (Pifer) Lype 84, formerly of Wadsworth more recently of Thomasboro, IL passed away Saturday February 16, 2013 after coming home to Wadsworth to be with her family. She was born October 15, 1928 in Wadsworth to the late John and Alice Welty. Frances was a graduate of Wadsworth High School. She never missed sending a birthday card or message to any family member including her great great nieces and nephews. Pitzy enjoyed traveling to P.O.W. conventions with her second husband Merle Lype.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Franklin Pifer, sisters: Marjorie Miller and Mina Morrison and her brother John “Buggy” Welty Jr.
Frances is survived by her husband Merle Lype Sr., sister Alice Csuhta, sister-in-law Rose Welty both of Wadsworth and several loving nieces and nephews that she called her “kids”.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:30 PM Thursday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, where the family will receive friends 11:00am – 12:30pm Thursday. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to HMC Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Rd. Medina, OH 44256.
