Obituary
Brian Michael Mackey went home in the loving arms of Jesus on September 18, 2015 at the age of 46.
He will be remembered for his love of Jesus and his family. He was graduate of Copley HighSchool and a member of Barberton First Baptist Church. Brian lead many people to the Lord, taught Sunday School and Awana. He loved driving his Mack dump truck for Mackey Trucking with Kenmore Construction until his health failed him. While working for DHL Trucking he made many friends and was given the nickname “Mr. Coffee”. Brian was a member of the NRA loved fishing, shooting and restoring his 1988 T Bird.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in law Denzel and Francis Hathaway and maternal grandparents Elwood and Gertrude Biggins.
Brian is survived by his wife Karla (Hathaway) Mackey, son Ryan and daughter Amanda . He is also survived by his parents Michael and Jeanette Mackey, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tim and Vickie Hathaway, uncles and aunts Mark and Diana Byers, John and Diane Biggins, David and Gwen Robinson, Rich and Sharon McClean and many nieces, cousins, friends and his dog Eddie. The family would like to extend a special thanks to: Personal Touch, especially Dawn and Lisa, all of their neighbors, friends and relatives for the prayers and expressions of concern and the Barberton Fire and Police Departments.
The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Monday and 10-11 am Tuesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 11am Tuesday. Interment will be in North Hampton Cemetery.
