Wadsworth

Jeanne S. Manning, 90, of Wadsworth, passed away May 17, 2013, one day shy of her 91st birthday. She was born May 18, 1922 in Warren, Ohio to the late Halbert and Virginia Sharp.

A longtime resident of Wadsworth, she was a member of Wadsworth United Methodist Church, where she was active in Bible Study, UMW, Womens Circle and a communion steward. She was also a member of Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital Auxiliary, Wadsworth Women’s Club, Sorosis Club, and a Red Cross volunteer. She was also the Wadsworth Welcome Wagon hostess in the 1970’s.

Preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, and sisters Miriam Minnick, Marjorie Cibella and Georganna Davidson, she is survived by her daughters Virginia (Thomas) Hiber of FL and Susan Stewart of FL; son Dr. Bruce (Joanne) Manning of Wadsworth; grandchildren Timothy and James Hiber, Keith Stewart, Lindsay (Matthew) Zielinski, Justin (Danielle) and Steven Manning; great-grandchildren, Kaelynn Hiber, Avery and Andy Zielinski and was close to her 7 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday 3 to 7 PM at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street in Wadsworth. Funeral services are Wednesday 1:30 PM at Wadsworth United Methodist Church, 195 Broad Street, Pastor Don Ebert officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Wadsworth United Methodist Church Memorial, Scholarship, or Building Funds.
