Massi
Wadsworth

Patricia Beverly Massi, affectionately known as “Mugger”, was born and raised in Ashtabula, Ohio and then permanently resided in Wadsworth, Ohio. She passed away peacefully after a long fulfilling life and joined her husband in heaven at the age of 97.

As a person with a strong Catholic faith, she had a positive impact on all who knew her. Her life was not only deeply dedicated to her family, but also as an active member of Sacred Heart Church and in many volunteering efforts throughout her life. She had exceptional culinary skills…the word on the street was that she gave Emeril Lagasse cooking lessons.

She was proud of her Italian and Finnish heritage. Her endearing, loving nature spread across the world when she and her husband found his parent’s hometown and extended family in the town of Baiano, Italy, which left an indelible impression on their lives.

Her advice on life was “Be happy, follow your dreams and live life to the fullest”, with her motto being, “Love thy neighbor”. As a result of one of her grandson’s school projects, interviewing her about life experiences, he wrote, “We can now begin to stand on the shoulders of the previous generation and learn and thrive from their experiences”.

Patricia is survived by her children, Greg (Anna) Massi, Cheryl Peto, Janis (Rick) Tate; grandchildren, Breanna (Randy) Dunn, Krystin (Mitch) Morgan, Jared Tate, Brendan Tate, Sarah Peto; her great granddaughter, Sawyer Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony, and her brother, Jerry Candela.

Private services will be held for the immediate family only.
