Melissa Maurer, 51, of Wadsworth, passed away February 21, 2023. She was born on April 25, 1971 in Akron, Ohio.

Melissa enjoyed cooking, antiquing and watching cooking shows. Above all, she enjoyed spoiling her grandsons, Rhett and Liam.

She is survived by her husband Jeff of 30.5 years; daughter, Kristen (Allen) Layton; son, Justin (Alyssa) Maurer; father, John (Connie) Roher; sister, Chrystal Roher, and grandsons, Liam and Rhett. She is also survived by aunt, Ann Roher, several nieces, nephews, and a great-nephew.

Melissa is preceded in death by her grandparents, John Sr. and Freda Roher and Frank and Ruth Strimlan, and mother-in-law, Peggy Maurer.

The family will receive friends from 10am-12pm on Saturday 25, 2023 at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N Lyman St, Wadsworth, OH 44281 where a funeral service will follow at 12pm Chaplain Don Bolich officiating. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
