Obituary
Lloyd A. Maxon, 81, of Wadsworth passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013. He was born on September 12, 1931 in Wadsworth to the late Arthur H. and Elva (nee Bauer) Maxon. Mr. Maxon was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Japan and Korea during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Wadsworth High School class of 1949, a life member and Past Commander of American Legion Post # 170, a life member of V.F.W. Post #1089, the Wadsworth Moose Lodge, First Christian Church and was a retired electrician and carpenter.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Dona with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage, two sons and daughters-in-law: Bill and Margie Maxon of Massillon and David and Anne Maxon of Wadsworth, three grandchildren: Stephanie, David and Sarah and many cousins.
The family will receive friends 2-5pm Sunday January 6 at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am Monday with Rev. James L. Singleton officiating. Interment with military honors provided by the Wadsworth Honor Guard will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church Trent/Kelley Youth Fund, 116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth, Ohio 44281 or to Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Rd., Medina, OH 44256.
