Leon C. McCaman “Sodbuster” , 84, of Wadsworth, passed away February 20, 2018. He was born in Barberton, Ohio on September 12, 1933 to the late Forrest and Marguerite (Snader) McCaman.

Leon was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post 170, Eagles 2117, and VFW Post #1089 and The 40 8. He was an avid sportsman–bowled a perfect “300” game. He was a lover of nature and gardening, he especially enjoyed spending time with his mother in the garden. He was a “diamond in the rough.”

He was preceded in death by 5 brothers Dallas, Clyde, Gene, RG, Forest “Bud” and Dan McCaman; and sisters Donna McInoy and Faye Wanko.

He is survived by his wife, Lorene (nee Granger); daughter Darla Horton of Acworth, GA; sons Donnie (Robbie) of Smyrna, TN, Denny and Dale of Wadsworth; 10 grandchildren; and his siblings LaVon (Jerry Henthorn), Joyce Haush, and Gary McCaman; and step-children Chad Marks and Joseph Bowes.

Memorial Service will be held 11am Monday, February 26, 2018 at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N Lyman St., Wadsworth. Inurnment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
