David Elmer (Mac) McDonald, age 95, of Medina (formally Circleville) passed away Friday, April 20, 2012.
Mac was born October 17, 1916 at Granny’s Knob just outside New Concord, Ohio to the late John Clark and Mary Bessie (Kennedy) MacDonald. He attended Granny’s Knob one room school grades 1-8, graduated from Otsego High School, and was a 1937 graduate of Muskingum College.
Mac is survived by his sister, Mary Russell, brother Edgar MacDonald, son David (fiancé Linda Wirz), daughter Kay (Jim) Archer, daughter-in-law Nancy; grandchildren Kimberly (Anthony) Priola, J.D. (Misty) Archer, Rebecca (Scott) Hogue, T.R. (Christy) McDonald, Jonathan McDonald; step grandchildren David (Julie) Miller, Karin Cseak; great grandchildren A.J., Tucker, and Mia Priola, Jonathan and Marin Hogue, Mia and T.R.III (Tripp) McDonald; step great grandchildren Margaret and Annie Miller, Kira and Kai Cseak.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 1/2 years, Mary Helen (Roush), brother Robert, sister Isabel, son Tom, and daughter-in-law Johnna.
A Celebration of Mac’s life will be held Thursday, June 7th, 12:30 P.M. at Community United Methodist Church, 120 North Pickaway Street, Circleville, Ohio, 43113. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Rd., Medina, OH 44256 or a charity of your choice.
