Samuel “Steven” McKeen, 24 of Wadsworth passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013. He was born on January 3, 1989 in Wadsworth to Harry and Denise (nee Birkbeck) McKeen. Steven was a graduate of Wadsworth High School Class of 2007 and had attended Akron University.
He was an avid lover of hunting enjoying many hunting trips with his grandpa. He was a true country boy that loved his trucks, motorcycles, country music and being with his family and friends.
Steven was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Harry and Bertha McKeen. He is survived by his parents Harry and Denise McKeen, sisters Lisa and Kate McKeen, his maternal grandparents James W. and Carol Birkbeck all of Wadsworth, aunts Kimberly (Kim Mazurk) Birkbeck of Cape Coral, FL, Cynthia (Rocky) Wilson of Overland Park, KS, Tamara Birkbeck of Wadsworth, and Mary (Mike) Homan of Marinette, WI, uncle Jason (Lori) Birkbeck, and many cousins. He is also survived by special cousin Rana (Matt) Matheny Peden, their son Austin, and his dearest friends Kenny and Dominic Owens, Josh Collins, Shane and Drew Hoffman, Nate Giebeler and Pat Roesel and many many more.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00AM Friday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Drive, Barberton with Fr. Robert Jackson celebrant. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
