Sgt. Michael Steven Mealer, 34, of Wadsworth passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017. He was born March 10, 1982 in Akron.

Mike was a graduate of Wadsworth High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Mike is survived by his parents, Steven (Sandra Ziebro) Mealer and Jan Mealer both of Wadsworth, grandmother Hannelore Lilley, son Logan Mealer, sister Jenni (Don) Jordahl ; nephew Max and niece Hattie.

Mike left behind many close friends, he cared about those he loved with every ounce of his heart.

The family will receive friends 5-8pm Tuesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home.I lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a custodial account for Logan. Inurnment with Military Honors will be 9:30 am Wednesday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, OH 44273.
