Mildred P. Chapman, age 87, entered into eternal rest at Randal Residence in Tipp City, Ohio on July 18, 2017. Mildred was born April 15, 1930 in Widen, WVa to Averal and Martha (Butcher) Rapp.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Robert Orval Chapman on Jan. 23, 2002 whom she was married to for 53 years. In addition, her daughter Marlene (Chapman) Harter in 2013, her granddaughter Tami Renee Harter in 2011, her parents Averal and Martha Rapp, her sisters Nelma (Rapp) Bail and Esther Marie Rapp, and her brother Melvin Rapp.

Mildred resided in Wadsworth, OH since 1959, and moved to Tipp City, OH, to be near her daughter, in January 2015. Mildred was employed in the Dietary Department at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital for 28 years. When she retired in March 1990, she was the Manager of the Dietary Department. In her retirement, Mildred and Robert continued to travel and add more adventures to their bucket list. In addition, they enjoyed visiting and watching their grandchildren’s activities. Mildred attended Calvary Baptist Church in Rittman, OH.

Mildred is survived by her daughter Karen (Chapman) Weber and son-in-law David John Weber of Tipp City, OH, granddaughter Kari (Harter) Hineman and her husband Adam Hineman of Lyndhurst, OH, grandson Kyle Nicholas Weber and his wife Elyse (Klosterman) Weber of Tipp City, OH, son-in-law James Dale Harter of Cortland, OH, sister Joan (Rapp) Grogg of Colorado Springs, CO, sister-in-law Betty (Chapman) Combs of Akron, OH , and her great grandchildren, Emma Brooke and Cade Trevor Hineman of Lyndhurst, OH, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Randall Residence for providing such a loving and caring environment she called home. The family is appreciative of the excellent care and support she received the past two and a half years. In addition, the family would like to acknowledge and thank Heartland Hospice for providing guidance, support, and amazing comfort.

Visitation will be Friday, July 21, 2017 at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street, Wadsworth, OH from 11:00 – 1:00. The funeral service will be at 1:00 at the funeral home, with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Seville, OH.
