Margie B. Miller was called home to glory on Dec. 16, 2011. She was born June 16, 1922 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Mildred Watkins Jones Core and Howard Jones.

She moved to Wadsworth in 1941. She found work as one of the original Rosie the Riveters building planes during WW II. After the war she worked as a taxicab driver working out of former Mayor Don Merriman’s local store. She retired from the Ohio Match Factory after 40 years of service.

In her retirement she enjoyed looking after her mother, gardening, baseball, and doing anything she could for First Christian Church. She was proceeded in death by her parents and step-father Harry Core, Sister Mary Edna Frase, Brother-in-Laws Chester Straub and Merle Frase, and Great Nephew Matthew Core.

She is survived by Sister Linda Straub, Brother Bob (Rose) Core, Nephews Kevin Straub, Ken Straub, Bob (Tama) Core, Tim Core, Michael (Sharmini) Fox, 4 Great Nephew and Niece, 1 Great Great Niece, 11 Cousins, and dear friends Alice Smith, Sue Royer, Andre Brunet, Betty Rice, Rex and Kim White, and Kendel White.

Funeral Services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Wednesday, December 21, 2011 with Rev. Nancy Dunn officiating at First Christian Church 116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth, OH where the family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service from 10-12 Noon. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be payable to Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
