Richard W. Miller, 89, of Wadsworth, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009. Born August 24. 1920 in Chatham, Ohio. Mr. Miller was a member of Wadsworth United Methodist Church, was a graduate of Lodi High School Class of 1938, a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in WWII , a member of VFW Post # 1089, American Legion #170 and was retired from Dales IGA.
He was preceded in death by his son Craig Miller, Granddaughter Katie Ann Carnifax and seven brothers and sisters.
Richard is survived by his wife Lois with whom he celebrated 64 years of marriage, one daughter and son in law Colleen and Bobby Carnifax, one daughter in law Debbie Miller of Philadelphia, PA, five grandsons and four great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 12:00 noon – 1:00 PM In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the donor’s church or their favorite charity.
