Agnes (nee Logar) Mills, 81, of Wadsworth, passed away January 15, 2021. She was born July 17, 1939 in Guilford Township, Seville to the late Joseph and Lucille (nee Ule) Logar.
Agnes was a housekeeper of Sacred Heart Nuns Rectory and a part time housekeeper for Father McMann and Father Shinnler in the mid-to-late ’70s. She worked at Magnolia Care Center, Sterling Oaks Blooming Acres, Blooming Acres and Hudson Oxygen. She was a great mother and a very hard worker with a bubbly personality that could light up a room.
She lived on a farm in Guilford Township, Seville. Grandpaw sold that farm in 1953, where they moved to a farm on Rischel Road in Wadsworth, Ohio. She helped Great-Grandpaw milk 47 head of dairy cows before school every morning at the new farm. She would bale hay, straw and everything else that she could handle on the farm. When the work was all done, she would ride June, a big Clydesdale, over to her good friend’s house, Pearl Gieg, the farm behind her house next road over behind farms butted up to each other.
Agnes is preceded in death by her ex-husband, James Mills Sr. and son, Michael Scott Mills.
Survived by her son, Jimmy Mills and sisters Mary, Frany and Margie.
The family would like to thank the Barberton Hospital HICU team, Dr. Kyle, Dr. Yoder, Dr. Lobo and Nurse Nichole for making the last 24 hours of her life pain-free.
