Edwin G. Mitzel, 43, died unexpectedly October 21, 2014. He was born October 27, 1970 in Akron, Ohio.

A graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High school, Class of ’89, Ed was an avid car enthusiast his entire life. He was the owner and operator of Future Classic Cars and was an independent contractor for ABC Motor Credit and DBS Financial for many years. He loved camping and will be dearly missed by all of his friends at Harrison Hills Campground.

Preceded in death by his father Daniel Mitzel and grandparents Edwin and Erla Mitzel and B. Maxine Smith, he is survived by his wife of 16 years, Peggy; daughter Tasha Appel of Kent; son Davin Mitzel of Wadsworth; grandchildren Paige, Robert, Julianna; mother Linda Mitzel of Wadsworth; brother Robert Mitzel of Clinton; grandfather Glenn Smith of Cuyahoga Falls; nieces Kristen and Kaylin and a host of other friends and relatives.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 PM at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street in Wadsworth, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
